I just got this little gal put on my left lower leg. Extra Kudos if you can identify the squirrel species.

I now know what my next tattoo must be. Had tattooed the kanji for red squirrel on my left ankle, and was debating doing a red squirrel tail on my back but there are a number of concerns there such as cost, free time to get it done, and whether or not that color ink would even show well after a little while. But something like this is gorgeous, so maybe something of a more red squirrelish variety... X3
I commissioned
Thornwolf and she did a great job with it. I also have http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7634270/ (which is shaded now)
savannahhorrocks did that one. I'm hoping to slowly get the whole lower leg in squirrels, like it is a tree trunk.

So far - The shin and anklet I have was the worst. The outer side of my lower leg was minimal. The one on my calf hurt the for a long time and was really red and swollen longer than the others. From what I've heard the most painful spots are the feet, over the spine, or really any bony area. I think that is why so many people get tattoo's on their bottom however I wanted to be able to easily see mine. It really depends on your pain level tolerance start with something small and simple and gradually move up (that is what I did anyways).
Thats pretty much what I've read, but my friend's mom said that the one on the back of her neck was so easy to sit through that she fell asleep. Never wanted anything on my legs, but I did like the idea of a band on my upper arm. I've heard mixed things about the back of the arm though.
