I did most of this yesterday, while sleep-deprived. Today I touched up a few of the details, and added the shading and highlights. I am not sure precisely where the light is coming from.

Normally I don't include my color samples in the uploaded version, but this time I did.

I need to practice both anatomy and poses something terrible.

At least a few of the little details I was hoping would turn out well, did. Such as those little patches of scales to hint at the entire hide being scaled. I see other people doing that all the time, and was hoping I could do it, too. Looks like I can! Now I just need to refine my technique.
