It was nearly a year since Winry was hatched and Mr. and Mrs. O'Ducky really wanted to take advantage of a beautiful, Spring day to get seasonal photos of their children.
As Yosh was just starting to get over his jealousy of Winry, he was still in need of a diaper. Fortunately, this worked out. Especially when the whole idea behind getting these photos taken were to share the magic of rebirth that Spring brings with it.
The O'Ducky's called their local photographer and learned the only opening until a month later was 30 minutes from that very moment! Of course, they didn't want to miss the chance to get such priceless photos taken at such a wonderful time. So, of course, they accepted and agreed to meet at the park.
Before Yosh knew what was happening, he and Winry got scooped up and changed for their big moment in front of the camera. For Yosh, the bonnet seemed a bit much. However, he couldn't quite understand why his folks wanted him to wear a pink diaper after all they had talked about in how he should be "Proud to be a boy and not be jealous of his sister for they love him just as much as they love her."
Needless to say, the O'Ducky's barely made the park appointment. Knowing there was a rush, they quickly worked to pose their children as the photographer smiled and made funny sounds while waving a puppet at the siblings.

A few more pictures were taken before the photographer referred to Yosh as a "She". It was at this point Mrs. O'Ducky looked to her husband, who she entrusted to prep Yosh. Mr. O'Ducky then turned to face his wife as he pointed out Winry wearing what was to be Yosh's diaper.
THE O'DUCKY'S: OH, NO! We got diaper packs switched!
Sadly, there wasn't enough time to rectify the mistake and the photographer took a few more shots before giving an invoice to mom and dad and heading on her way.
Winry, being not even a year old, didn't mind being in boy-blue diapers. She thought it was fun. Fun enough to take them off and go running wild in the park while Yosh blushed at how embarrassed he felt for the possibility any of his friends may be around to see him in a bonnet and super-girly diaper.
This wasn't the first time the O'ducky's speed to get to a photographer got them in trouble, though. Actually, only a few months prior, the below incident occurred...

The moral of the story? Mr. and Mrs. O'Ducky aren't at their best when rushing and need to get better at planning so such embarrassing situations don't happen next time. Though, knowing them, it will.
It goes without saying that this picture now hangs next to the cleaner picture they took a few months back. Yosh gets all blushy anytime Nishi, or anyone, comes over and makes it a point to take notice of it. Poor Yosh.
