Cheetah Run Exhibit
The Cheetah Run is a endoors, climate controlled exhibit. A little over an acher in length, visitors step into a spacious glass balcony that allows them to view the run from end to end. Once a day, a show is put on to both demonstrate our cheetahs abilities and to enrich the animals life. The encloser is built with a cable system worked in. This allows some of the cheetahs food to be safely connected and then pulled across the enclouser to simulate a running prey. This encourages our cheetah to hunt his food and prevents him to assosiate humans with food, as the keepers and cheetah are keep apart during this process. Our cheetah is on occassion brought out into the lobby area as well, where visitors can get a closer experience with a tame cheetah.
