The Rat Tail? Nah, it slides inside the buffer tube inside the recoil springs. Mild steel means it flexes rather than snaps.

I know, I know just- I found it odd the first time I took it apart. i mean- I grew up on ARs where the bolt pushes right against the buffer so... yea. I general, I LOVE battle rifles though. The would could do with more of them. Maybe if I kiss enough ass Styr will develop a .308 variant of the AUG. *dreams*

They are too plastic for me. There are not many full caliber bullpups available, really.
