Personal - Standing Guard
~~~
Finally sat down and redid this. Look familiar? It's my older pic 'Status Report' but done with my newer finer line-art style to better match the other shots on her reference sheet. My ref sheet is updated with this and some new info, by the way. :3 HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9986951/
Feels nice to do some more Muzafr art, even if it's something I essentially drew before, heh. Muzafr, standing on guard at her usual hot-spot.
As per the photo, (which is one I took myself...) she'd be standing...on some newer buildings in the built-up Jewish Quarter of Al-Quds. From there she can have a good lookout to the west, overlooking the Old City and keeping her eye on the distant hills, where she's noticed some suspicious smoke plumes... And then to the east, behind her is the Mount of Olives and Haram ash-Sharif, to where she can make a quick retreat for prayer.
I broke my mini-schedule to do more Muzafr art, lol. Maybe I'll do a head-shot icon for fun here soon, inshallah.
Commissions in this style are open~
Muzafr is my sona.
Enjoy!
I have seen some poorly drawn guns before on FA. Its just something that people just don't seem to care about. As a bit of a gun lover (and having held and fired this weapon before) I can say that this is a very well drawn weapon. I mean seriously, some people do the most boneheaded things on weapons. Like one piece where the gun was firing and ejecting shells via what I could assume was a magical feeding system because it lacked a magazine. Pieces like that make me facepalm.
Curiosity probing here but are you a resident of the Holy Land? If so, are you Muslim? Jewish? Christian? Really not trying to offend, just a curious person (Though I do realize a trip to your DeviantART page would probably answer my questions). In any case lovely piece as always. Your work is truly awesome.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I have a few of these guys myself, so I feel like I have no excuse to draw them well, since anytime I need a reference of one or holding it in some way, I just pick it up and take a picture of myself. X) But I know what you mean - I just saw a drawing of an AK, and...it looked like a squirt gun. XD Like one of the Super Soakers? I had to chuckle a little, heh.
I am not a resident of the Holy Land, but I could be in a heartbeat. In fact, I have checked out real estate in Jerusalem, so maybe someday, inshallah, hehe. And I am Muslim, yep, purely spiritual. ^^
I'm thinking you are this cool person on the net o3o I'm not much for assuming who someone is, religion and race wise. :3
I honestly would have guessed american, or european. as those two areas are chock-full of this type of dragon anatomy artists.
>.> if I had to guess, that is...
and yes, drawing one's representations is always a must~
Lol, good guess! XD American, yup. Same faith as Muzafr up there. *pokes pic*
I always give priority to my current commissions, but sometimes I just can't take it and have to draw something for myself, haha. Usually happens after a day of 10-12 hours straight of art and I'm on a roll and can't stop. 8D
Man, oh man. I do NOT regret combing back through your art for the non-commissions. This is great. In my opinion (being the nerd I am) the UNSC would gain a great asset were they to enlist anthro Muzafr in their ranks. But, alas, the UNSC won't exist for another 200-300 years, if the timeline Bungie and Microsoft released turns out to be true.
I also have to comment on the connections your art has to Israel. For me, Israel is THE place I want to...no, NEED to visit before I die! To walk the ground where Jesus walked would be the ultimate experience for me, having been raised Christian my whole life. I am so jealous you get to go to Jerusalem, you lucky dragon.
