Party Floor Policy
1) All individuals accessing the party floor must have a current CaliFur membership, a notation that they have
access to the party floor on a name tag and have their badge visible on their person. Government issued ID's
well be required to be on each individuals' person, as the floor is limited to 18 years of age and older. You may
be required at anytime to produce this ID to verify your age. Failure to comply with this policy will result in
removal from the party floor. Access to the floors is via the elevators only and the stairwells will only be used in
the event of an emergency.
2) All persons staying in rooms on the party floor or accessing the party floor need to be 18 years of age and older.
Those 21 and over will be marked by a designated wrist band. CaliFur has a zero tolerance policy in regards to
minors consuming alcohol or individuals serving alcohol to minors. Anyone found in violation will have their
badges revoked and turned over to Police. CaliFur also has a zero drug use policy on the party floor. Individuals
found with drugs, using drugs or providing drugs will also be turned over to the local authorities. The hotel has
a no smoking policy and smoking is not permitted in the rooms or on the balcony. Designated smoking areas
are located 25’ feet from the hotel doors outside the ballroom entrance.
3) Friday and Saturday night from 8pm to 2am will be the only times allotted for room parties on the party floor.
During these times the room doors are required to stay open for CFAC and/or Hotel Security to come in at
any time to verify for CaliFur badges and Government issued identification. Occupancy per room during the
party hours and throughout stay is 5 people per room. Alcohol cannot be served in the party rooms after 2am in
compliance with California Liquor laws.
4) Any party that is serving alcohol needs to make sure that the people they are serving are 21 years old and older
by checking the persons ID, CaliFur Badge and designated wrist band. We advise that each room have at least
one person that is not consuming alcohol to check IDs and badges, as well as be able to deal with any issue that
may arise. Failure to do so will result in the room not incompliance to be shut down.
5) If individuals are found in violation of the H/C/P policies the party will be shut down for the remainder of the
night. If there is a refusal to comply with this request to shut down, badges will be removed from the individuals
not in compliance. This will result in removal from the party floor, removal from the convention and possible
removal from the hotel. (Hotel removal is up to Hotel as per their policies.)
6) Any damages to the hotel and/or hotel property will result in the room holder being charged for the damages by
the hotel. This applies to everyone in the party floor.
7) Hotel reserves the right to monitor all sleeping rooms and the party floor to ensure the safety of all guests.
All attending CaliFur members over the age of 18 attending a party will adhere to all policies included as
outlined in the Party Floor Policy, CaliFur Code of Conduct as well as Hotel Policy. You understand the failure
to comply with these governing rules and regulations may result in but not limited to: Removal from the party
floor, the shutdown of a party, the revoking of CaliFur badges, and a removal from the hotel and/or possible
Police action.
