Repost this as .RTF, a plain .doc, or a .txt encoded in UTF-8 format. Right now, most folk on FA can't read it.

This is actually pretty damn well written as I don't see any of the major issues that plague developing writers. Work on expanding on your character and environmental descriptions, especially through conversation tags. Although, I got to say beyond that your pretty well set. Kind of some drab archetypes and clichés of mouth, but it is a fantasy story after all. A good work for practice.
