Sooooo Finally finished this bad boy up after much torture..and i think I finally can make metal..relatively quickly..YAY
But this was a commission for
talion of his iksar character clad in custom armor that I designed specifically for him. The commission was requested to be loosely based off three type of armor from the game(I will list them below)
and some of my own inspiration from the Nordic armor chest piece from skyrim(will also list). Eventually i will also draw a helm to match the armor set.
I'm also calling it dragonbane armor because I can..
But enjoy :D

EverQuest™ is © Sony Online Entertainment. It exists for various platforms, including PC, Mac, and PS2. There also is a set of sourcebooks for live "paper and pencil" style roleplay a la Dungeons and Dragons, but not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast or TSR, nor directly compatible with their rulebooks.
Therefore, it's typical to credit the boldface part like I highlighted above. SOE bought EverQuest from Verant Studios in the `90s when they were solely a PC game. Verant previously was a contractor who had made a number of PS2 games, and were highly versed in 3D gaming, and apparently could get Massively Multiplayer and the requisite supercomputer/server software working in tune with the client software itself.
Their first expansion, Ruins of Kunark, is where the Iksar race were made available to players (2001, I believe). It represented a whole new continent, Kunark, to explore, a new set of dungeons and challenges, two new dragons to conquer, and new epic equipment to obtain for various classes in the game. Many have said EQ has never improved on the epic scale and quality of the RoK expansion, despite the several that have been released since.
Brekkik (the Iksar character in question) is obviously one of the very old-school 2001 RoK Iksars and not one of those johnny-come-latelys. Nor one of the EQ2 Iksars with the spiny shoulders and more robust, buff look to them. He honors the old, classic design in having you re-imagine yet capture the old spirit of the Ruins of Kunark armors and show people where the passion for this lizard creature originates; where our greatness begins. Not from humble designs, but from epic origins.

Brekkik actually was modeled after the EQ2 style of iksars. I just made him a bit leaner was all. The screenshots provided in the picture's description show the armor sets that had elements I wanted her to include in the finished armor design. The iksar in those screenshots are Brekkik as he appears in EQ2. I do have an EQ1-era iksar character though. And if I ever get him drawn, he'll definitely be modeled after the classic Kunark iksar appearance http://zam.zamimg.com/images/8/8/88.....5c4db1e696.png
All your historical information about Verant and SOE is correct from what I could tell. Really, the only inaccuracy would be Brekkik being modeled after the EQ1 iksar, but that's a relatively minor error as far as I'm concerned since all iksar are awesome in their own ways despite their different visual appearances. So I wouldn't see it necessary to delete personally.
