Thank you! I've never tried drawing a plasma rifle before, so I was worried no one would be able to tell what that sizzling thing on the ground is... But I'm glad you think the sparks work. =)

well I thought you didn't like the blue sparks because of the background, but they are shinny enough for being noticed, so yeah, it works perfectly :3

The colouring on the armour is especially really nice. It's better than what I can do.
Also, how you colour in general is really neat.

With Painter it's quite easy to add rich colour to any kind of drawing because the colour blends so smoothly. And the dodge tool in Photoshop is great for extra glossiness. I'm always trying to come up with better results myself, I still don't know many techniques... I'm now figuring out how to use the emboss layer so I could add realistic looking dents and notches to metal surfaces. It's very tricky 'cause I don't know the works so well.

Shiny armors, fantasy with cyber armor, plate, sword and light sword, rage, and an autetich background. What else could we need.

I'm glad you recognized that it indeed is a gun! I suppose the female warrior has somehow managed to cut it in half, but I'm not sure as I only followed the instructions. =)

oh god for some reason that makes me think of ripkin as a female... I mean they've had kids so ripkins gender isn't 100% certain, but still... I normally imagine ripkin as sounding, as well as acting quite male... if by some event he would suddenly be the female equivilant of his kind.... that would certainly be interesting... I wonder if he'd be disgusted, find it more... 'interesting'...

Ripkin has been something of a gender bender ever since he took part in this one misfortunate adventure concerning several Orbs of Power (magical gadgets previously owned by the Mysterious and Apparently Very Important Elder People Who Roamed the Earth Before the Age of Men). Sometimes when he wakes up in the morning he's actually a she. The change is quite subtle, so he doesn't wake up with a huge pair of boobs or anything. It troubles him sometimes, but mostly he enjoys having the advantage of surprise on his side. ^^;;

I've many times asked my friend what would Malek think if he suddenly turned into a woman. My friend said it would be such a devastating blow that Malek would never be the same.

I would gladly show you how to colour digitally, although there are many ways to do it and the way I do things might not be the best one. I tend to be pretty slow.

I could also teach you how to whistle. It's not that hard. ;>

What do you use to illustrate backgrounds like this? I've been wondering what to do to try and get a more painterly style, and I like your approach to backgrounds. You may think they're too quick, but I like how you use them and I think they frame the artwork well.

Corel's Painter is great for that kind of colouring. It's absolutely perfect for blending all kinds of colours smoothly and colouring with various brush strokes. =)

Do you use a tablet as well?

What model do you have? I may be in the market soon, now that I've got a job that makes money and all

I have a Wacom Graphire 380 x 380. It's compatible with all the programs I use; Photoshop, Painter, Paint Shop Pro, OpenCanvas etc. So far it hasn't let me down. The only problem I currently have is that the stylus I use is so worn that I'm going to need a new one. They don't count as spare parts, so I gotta pay about 40 euros for it.
