yeah pain makes us stronger

I like this piece. It's very evocative and gets its message across quite strongly.

My only bones of contention are that the three major spelling errors in it are more than a little jarring.

i.e. "whilt" instead of "wilt",

"blosom" instead of "blossom"

and


"distane" instead of "disdain".


Unless, of course, creative spellings were part of the poet's overall plan...

accidents of a mind that has lost its keen edge and of a heart of mixed ways
it may be fixed later though this is not certain
for all we know this could just be the final curtain
life's best enjoyed when the image of death lingers not far from thought

...And the stark reality is that all the world is nothing more than a slippery battlefield, and to the victor belongs the spoils. :P

but is the one who survives truly the victor
for at least the dead no longer fight and are free of the battlefield
the stench of the world's sorrow shall linger upon the survivor and remain till their final dance of red

I don't get poetry...maybe i'm just in the wrong mindset right now, usually i can intuit meanings very readily..

i get poetry i love poetry

poetry defeats me..it really does... i have no trouble getting the meanings behind music, art, and other media, poetry kicks my ass.. though I do write it very rarely, when I do it's true meaning literally drips from every letter..
