Changed my mind, I'm keeping this one <3

So this is the latest of my designs, more of an original breed of canine than a species unto its own. I'm colloquially calling them "Hoxes" since they're thought to be a relative to wolves, though who had mutations in their Hox genes (the sequences of DNA that map out body shape) to cause an extra mouth and set of ears to grow below the first. They're shaped a little differently than the average wolf, with extended necks (also a mutation in the Hox genes, extra vertebrae formed) and longer snouts to accommodate the second mouth.

The mutations they had proved to be advantageous - the four ears allowed them better hearing ability, and two mouths greater bite force with the bottom mouth being stronger than the top - and so the Hoxes survived and spread. They're a bit smarter than the average canine though still hunt in packs. The markings on both their bodies and horns aren't natural and are painted on, and typically closely related Hoxes will have similar markings. (Sorry for the enormous paragraph of info, I had some sudden inspiration with their story, though I'll add more later c: )

The Hoxes are mine are a closed breed. You may not make your own or breed them, and in the event that you adopt it and later do not want it, I will buy it back from you at a third of the price you paid. If you break one of the rules, I will recall the adopt and pay you back a third of the price you paid. I reserve the right to put it back up for adoption. Please don't resell, thank you c:
