First of two chib's commissions i asked of Xeshaire. This one depicts one of my Darjeet pups in training, slicing up fruit with a Water Tendril Spell which practically all Darjeets will learn how to utilized within their life time as the spell comes naturally to them.

Pups usually only have enough magic for just one tendril, but later when they get older and stronger and have larger stores of magic, many can produce two Water tendrils at the same time. The spell is like wings for Dragons. They can control it like limbs, similar to wings, the spell is a tool for the species, like wings to help Dragons fly, and although Darjeets are bounded to the earth, this spell has many implications.

They use the spell like an extra par of hands, and although they do have claws with thumbs which can grasp tools and carry things, the spell greatly improves their strength and reach, and far invaluable in helping them in everyday tasks.

Plus, all pups and adults are trained to used this as a weapon for hunting and self defense. Freezing and forming the ends of the water tendril, turns it into a ice spike, and because its is enhance with magic, far more stronger then brittle ice by itself.
