You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. I've been experimenting with using different shading and bolder colors because frankly, I find my old stuff pretty dull looking haha.

I could tell you tried a different shading style, and I actually really like this one, it makes him look much more 3D, not syaing I didn't like your other shading, of course not, they were lovely also, though this one is a little more appealing, and to me sort of shows your skills, it suites the character and the lineart~
