BEST. FIND. EVER.... after a helluva time trying to make molds of antlers and resin cast them, I discovered these.
They are replacement antlers for 3-D archery targets! I popped off the saw-toothed end you're supposed to stab into the foam target and drilled a hole into each one. A screw was added to each with a bit of epoxy, then each was painted and sealed. The heads then are installed with a Tee nut that you can screw the antlers into.

The colors I chose for the first five (purple, yellow, green, blue and burgundy) were all furs I found at my local fabric store. I was DYING to make something with them, but none of my commissions ever needed those colors, and I didn't know what to make with them myself. When I decided to take on the Buck project, those were the first colors I picked. When more bucks were added, I listed the colors available for the matching fur types and let the owner pick ^_^
Real antlers are super heavy.
