“You were right Marillon,” tarpaw said, sloshing his words a little, though through no fault of his own, “this is a truly amazing place, I just love this tar pit...so thick and sticky, so warm and soft, it’s like a spa.”
“Yeah, it’s the best, we need to do this agin sometime!” exclaimed Marillon happily as the two canines waddled back home, leaves, grass, and dirt clinging to their stick feet, their bodies covered in a full inch thick layer of cooling tar. By the time they made it back home, they could barely move, and had to have a couple friend scrape the majority of the tar off, then hose and scrub them down for the next several hours.
But it was worth every second.
