I wanted to draw picture, where hellhound stands behind small angel-puppy with dark background.

I was looking for the inspiration in the finnish lullaby "Suojelusenkeli" (Guardian angel in english).

The lyrics in the picture are the same as they sing in the song. It means: "Through the wilds of the earth runs the road of the little child"

The lyrics of the song are tricky, but I found one version around the web. Here you are:

A marvellous angel is taking him/her home.
So long is the journey, the home cant be seen,
but the marvellous angel walks beside.
The wilds are dark and the road is stony,
