I remember once in the hot summer, these three wolves were laying out in the sun. They all have shade available.

Well, I went to pet one, and his outer coat was so hot it actually burned my fingers. Not blisters, but it was so hot I literally could not touch it.

"Wolf, there's shade right over there."

"Yeah."

"So uh, why don't you go there, it's really hot."

*Wolf looks at the shade structure*

*Wolf looks at me*

*Wolf lays his head down and falls asleep*

My dog does this. -.-
Luckily the coat can actually prevent skin burns.

But they are so lovely and beautiful!

Good question! Actually, in this pen, none :/ The only surviving wolf was the one in the background. He was located in the pen behind me, to my left. You can just barely see the corner of it there.

The one who remains is actually a good friend of mine. He was always the alpha, and would greet me, but never got close to me. Now that he is alone, he is much more devoted.

The wolf in the middle (My left hand) who you cannot see, I found out only a month ago (!!!) was actually his BROTHER. Which makes sense, because he was amazingly special, a "Healer" wolf according to the owner. He saved my butt once, and I'll never forget it. He was very patient with people, and had an eye for a good heart. He was my second best friend there.
