Grand Marshal of the Soviet Armies and Chief Director and founder of the KGB's OPD [Otdel Paranormal'nyye Dela] Paranormal Affairs Department Reynardt Crovska

One of the nobler military leaders of the Soviet Union, even today. While he is loyal to the state, he still strictly follows the Bushido honor code he was brought up on long before his career, he'd never have his men fire upon unarmed and defenseless enemies, or innocent people, anyone under his command that violates his rules of engagement are met with swift and harsh penalties, as with anyone who gets out of line underneath him. His methods of punishment are as unknown as they are brutal, as survivors are reported to have been driven mad and insane, recounting "monsters" and other "things" they could not explain.

Backstory

Born in 1273 AD in Japan, he worked his way up through the Meiji system when it was restored, and became a Major for the Imperial Japanese Army during the first Russo-Japanese war and World War I. After the Japanese empire invaded American territory in 1941, Comrade Crovska defected to the Soviet Union just as the German Army started kicking in Russia's door. He was detained for a time being, thought to be a Japanese spy, but he proved his loyalty to Stalin by helping lead troops against invading Fascist forces and delivered to him the location of a secret weapon the Japanese have been working on.

Some time before his defection, he was in charge of a security force tasked with guarding an experimental prototype armor system the Japanese had gotten funds for from Hitler himself. The armor enhanced the wearer's offensive and defensive capabilities by 200%, and was powered by a crud, micro cold-fusion reactor, which provided the suit with all the power it needed for several hours.

After Comrade Crovska delivered it to us, our scientists quickly examined and reconstructed the technology. It was crude, but by the time the Germans reached Stalingrad, the Red Army had enough "Stali Soldaty" [Steel soldiers] to fight back Hitler's tanks, planes and soldiers. The Japanese gave birth to a new machine, Russia gave it flight capabilities, and with it, the Luftwaffe was sent burning to the ground.

Before 43, the new Steel Army had begun raining hell upon all German controlled territories, any and all oppositions were crushed and defeated. Before the year was out, we finally reached Berlin, that morning, Hitler rose to the sound of sirens blaring. By the afternoon, Comrade Crovska captured the dog himself, along with other members of his cabinet just as they reached the Führerbunker. Upon his capture, Russia's flag flew atop Berlin, and Hitler and his fellow scumbags were taken back to Moscow, where they were executed publicly, and every man, woman and child within the Soviet Union felt a great surge of pride and victory. For his efforts, Crovska received a Hero of the Soviet Union award, and an Order of Lenin, awarded by a teary eyed Stalin himself.

And thus began the career of Grand Marshal Crovska.

And here is what Ren would be like if he had defected to the Soviets instead of the US after Pearl Harbor. The Sovet Union is advanced considerably, and he is in a much higher and regarded position than he ever was before. In his alternate reality, the Soviet Union dominates all of Europe, the UK suffers a coup and is thus inducted into the USSR, and the Americas and Africa pretty much remain the only real free nations on Earth since t never collapsed in `91.

Next to the Premier, he practically calls the shots in the entire Soviet army, doing whatever he can to make sure that they all follow his rules of engagement. In this reality, and under his command, war crimes for the Soviet army are rather minimal compared to how they were in our reality.

And shush, I know black is not a Soviet uniform color, but with the prestige and the position he holds, I can imagine a big war hero like him would be given the honor of having his own uniform made for him. Plus, this is an alternate reality, there's really no telling what they really would allow if the USSR never collapsed and continued on past now.
