Ah but if you look back at the The Machine comics, Crystal explained it didn't just change the person, but essentially rewrite history so that it's considered the norm and how it's always been. ^^
If it worked correctly, Vivy's neck would have been normal and they never even would have remembered it was roboticized to begin with.

Oh I see now, I can't believe I miss out on that little detail. I guess this explain why Molley has freak out at the sight of detachable heads, becaue its a part of their world now. Though, Crystal must have the intelligence of a Time Lord like Dr. Who to rewrite history with her machine like that.
