We used to have one similar in appearance to that but built into a sewing desk that would allow it to fold inside when not in use, with a treadle to operate it by foot.

Yeah that's what my mother had. We removed the machine and put it one a book shelf. Then one day I was moving it and the machine fell off. That cast iron wheel in the back snapped clean off. Every once in a while you can find these at a thrift store if they don't know what it is you can get them for really cheap
Seen one once for $50.

I own one JUST like that one :) I still use it...It also is set up to a electric pump so I do not have to hand stitch everything!

I have two of these...ones a treddle and the others electric but still very old. The ones has allot of cool gold designs on it. My mom said there not worth allot like most think but there still really cool.

This looks very similar to the old Sears and Roebuck one I have and use for making costumes and fursuits. It's about 70 years old and works great. I found it one day on the curb. Sewing is actually a rare skill anymore.

In fact, short of being a top of the line machine that I know won't break on me for going through too much material or just too much use, I will buy a old used machine any day. in fact I did! not -that- old but the one I had in the US was a awesome oldie and the one I have now is a awesome oldie. Tanks. I forgot how heavy it was until I went to lift it the other day. good thing I'm a strong one :)
