We took the day off to visit Monsterpalooza and it was great!
Got a chance to visit with the infinitely talented and charming Doug Jones! If the name sounds familiar it's because he's the actor behind Ape Sapien (Hellboy), the Faun (Pans Labyrinth), amongst many other roles. He's been in Tank Girl, Warriors of Virtue, so many awesome costume-filled movies that shaped my costume-making career.
And he's so nice!!

It was awesome, we had parked about a million miles away from the con and were collecting our things when we saw him jogging past. Both :saberfirelink: and I recognized him, so :saberfirelink: just shouts out 'Hey Doug!'. We ended up walking to the con with him, waiting in the billion-people lineup with him, and just monopolizing his time way more than any squeeing girl should. He's so friendly and awesome, remembered the both of us from the last show we did, and, just, aaah. Such an amazing guy.
He was there unofficially! And despite our goading, was going to wait in line like a normal person! I was equally flabberghast. Thankfully 1/2 way through the wait someone official inside clued in he was out there and comped him in but the man is so HUMBLE! It makes me love him more.
