Despite its size the creature moved incredibly fast, slipping away from strike after strike, and deflecting most remainder with its stone hard scales. It was tough, amazingly tough, Sadira knew that any real mistake would end her life in and instant, but she didn't panic. She was pretty fast too, and knew it. The snake lunged for her time and time again, only for her to escape its loudly snapping jaws at the last moment.

She could tell it was getting impatient, its movements were becoming more aggressive and faster, but it exposing softer looking portions of its flesh more and more frequently. Now was the time to strike, Sadira knew she'd slip up if she didn't take advantage of the creature carelessness soon, but the only flesh she was confident she could pierce with her knife would take her dangerously close to the serpents jaws.

Fine, fortune favors the bold! Sadira thought resolutely as gripped the knife tightly and leaped upon the snakes body. Almost immediately she could feel the serpents hot rotting breath flowing across her body. Ignoring it she screamed, and taking the knife in both hands, plunged it towards the soft scales of monsters belly.
