As do I. It hurts...it'll hurt for a long time, actually. And you'll hear your dog's name in random places, and it will hurt all over again. The important thing is to remember the time you shared...good and bad, joyful and frustrating...and take comfort in the fact that, for some little while, you shared your heart with a being that loved you utterly unconditionally.
