Eventually I came to peace with it. I had to. I realized that this was my life, and there was nothing I could do about it. I couldn't fit the tide, so I decided to float along.
I guess in the end, I can only stick to what keeps me together instead of what makes me fall apart. I can't promise my friends I will always be loving, kind, happy, but I can promise them I will exist whenever they need a shoulder to lean on, whether it's killing me or not.
