So. I know.
I have a few pages more written, however as I started working more on the shading and trying to put in some detail of the background I feel like it's taking me an eternity do eacha nd every new page. I'm a bit of at loss whether or not ot continue doing this, but I shall see. Sorry for the off the beat page, this was meant to be more of a transition page then a self completing one.

Well I know I'm just a watcher who devours art for free, but for what it's worth, I'd like to encourage you to keep up with these. I have to say I've been really enjoying following them! It's just such wonderful random humor, and it's always a delight to see in my new submissions :)
I do not draw for money, I tend to do it for fun; comments like yours lift my spirits greatly, and I love every comment I receive (for this reason I try to answer always, even though sometimes it takes a while -I like to think a good deal on these answers-).
I'm very glad that you find this kind of humor entertaining, sometimes I'm afraid to get stale in my humor, I'm really happy that it's still appreciable!
In the last few pages I tried to step up the drawing, adding shadows and whatnot but I fear that I'm sacrificing originality (as far as a comic about egyptian gods can be original) for, mayhaps, technique (which is not that impressive).
In any case, thank you for your appreciation! <:)

What you say about perhaps sacrificing originality for technique is something I can relate to well... Like anyone, my art skills have grown over time. When I started, over 10 years ago, my anatomy was terrible. I didn't have a good grasp on proportions at all, so my art was a lot more representational than anything. About five years ago I decided that, rather than just let myself develop naturally, I was going to really study different techniques and get better quickly.
I did. Very much so. My anatomy skills and my coloring skills got a lot better in just a year. But I almost stopped drawing because I wasn't having fun at all anymore.
I've heard some artists argue before that art isn't about having fun, it's about producing a product. I very much disagree. I'd rather enjoy myself and have a finished product that I still love to look back at, not one that I can't stand to look at because it was such a pain to work on.
I know this isn't quite what you wrote, but it seemed similar enough to be worth saying. I think that if you stay true to your ideas, that's a lot more important than any change or "improvement" in technique.
Again, all I can say is, I really like them, so I'm glad that you're creating them and posting them!
