Been wanting to post this character for a while, but never had any decent sketches worth coloring until now. :P

A favorite Cold War aircraft of mine that saw service (as opposed to the rare and obscure designs I normally hunt for) is the Handley-Page Victor bomber. Creating a character as elegant as that plane was a challenge to me.

In keeping with the nationality of the service that used it, Paige is a British subject, and like tha Victor, she spent time in the Far East. As a result of her exposure to it's culture, she is a Buddhist, seen as a rarity for someone not originally from the area. Her devotion is hightlight by her original intention to become a nun. However, Paige would be the first to admit that she is not entirely pious, so she abandoned that particular goal, but still remains devoted to her faith. Her self-confessed main vice is her lust for the opposite sex, and many of her friends were quite surprised how sultry she can be when she shows an interest in someone. Her friends do admire her candor and her calm - if sometimes cynical - persona, and rarely is there anything she is criticized or rebuked for.

Like many other Avians, Paige was formerly human. But unlike many, that part of her life was marred by an abusive relationship and a nasty divorce that left her not only penniless, but also robbed her of the custody of her own child. However, years later, Paige was able to embrace her daughter once again when she escaped from her father and reunited with her mother.
