It's actually just recently, like maybe as of this year, that Dorito LETS me cuddle her this way. Her whole life, she's always enjoyed being near me, but just barely out of reach. If she's lying on the floor, I could've laid next to her and put my arm around her and in a few seconds, she'd get up, walk a foot away and lie down. D:< IO'd get up, move to her, put my arm around her, NOPE. She'll move a foot away. Damn it, Dorito. Now, I hug her, squeeze her, hold her tight, put her on my lap whatever, and she's cool with it ^_^ I'm loving it so much. It's very new to me but I'm definitely taking advantage of her new fondness for cuddling. <3
B'elanna - the best friend I've ever had and probably ever will have - was 16 when she started acting all cuddly. She got sick shortly thereafter. I took her to the vet. Turned out that she had a "manageable" kidney issue that's common for cats of her age and breed. I did exactly what the vet told me was needed to manage the illness.
Her cuddliness lasted for about eleven months.
Then, I was forced to say goodnight for the last time... T_T
