I don't know about you guys but I love my sisters no matter what happens. I'm now even closer to one of them due to our similar health issues. We're each other's back bones.
I couldn't help but share this sweet picture of two of my heart rats..Joker and Hodgepodge. Originally Joker was supposed to go to someone else but he ended up staying with me - and I am glad. These two are some of the best rats I've ever had and they are awesome. They don't have an aggressive bone in their body. They get along with other rats - male or female and unrelated. Joker's with his brother Ninja and two other unrelated boys. Hodgepodge is with her sisters (blood sisters) and some other girls unrelated who are just as awesome.
These two I kept separate, obviously, so I didn't have any unexpected surprises..but just for today I set them outside in this bin thingy and decided to let them visit each other (nothing happened =P)...they remembered each other (at least I think they did) because they immediately loved on each other and began bruxing.
While this photo is out of view - you can kinda see the love they have. THat's how I am interpreting it. They were grooming each other and everything and right after the photo was taken - Joker gave his sister a 'kiss'. How I love these two little ones...
Joker and Hodgepodge are both agouti patch-faced. One I think is 'capped' technically. Either way, I love these two and the newest little <3. Maybe I'll get a big family picture one of these days if I can get help...because that is six rats together. That'll be some fun, haha.

What beautiful ratties My housemate has 3 rats; Penny, (ruby-eyed fawn), Pip(ruby eyed-dove capped dumbo) and Iris( hairless dumbo). I hated rats until I met these, the ambassador rat was a black, veriberk named Ivy, she taught me how rats really are. Sadly she passed away last month due to old age.
Aww...yeah, I've recently lost a few of my oldies. Thankfully I still have the offspring and great offspring from them though...their lines are deep in my colonies now.
I love these two especially as well as a few others..but these guys easily captured my heart and they aren't going anywhere. I was about devestated when I realized (thankfully I don't ahve to now) I would have to give them up.

The original plan was the rats were going to be in my spare room while their owner was at college but things happened and she and her rats moved in. Ivy taught me how smart and loving they are. Iris is just over 2 now, Ivy was 2yrs 3months when she died. Penny and Pip are both about a year old. Both are really outgoing and love people. Iris, no, she likes to be left alone, She was a rescue. Penny was also a rescue, from being snake food, Pip came from a breeder with good, deep lines like yours sound.
Yeah, I have several rescues as well...and I have several who are older than 2 years old and I think one left who is around 3..but I'm afraid he may not be with us much longer. He's showing his age for sure and while he was once a sweet rat he won't let anyone near him now other than his 'buddies'. He'll let us pet him but we can't pick him up without him stressing.
I love my ratties though.

They are so cute. We had a group of three added two more sisters then in the last year we've last four. Sadly we only have one left. We thought about more but think it'll be too much at her age and then we thought about getting her re-homed to a bigger group but we decided to give her lots of love as we found a lump on her so she's not long for the world, mood has been very down beat the last few months.
