A number of others here have been turning out pieces celebrating JW Kennedy's Zandar Skonk. At the same time, I've recently been reading an edition of Treasure Island with illustrations by Mervyn Peake, and for some odd reason thought a Zandar drawn in the style of Mervyn would be an interesting experiment. The background scenery (and title) come from elsewhere - Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, with particular reference to Ralph Steadman's illustrations. What a combination. Anyhow, I managed to draw this without using a single solid black space - it's all lines and crosshatching. The results are ... something I'm not so sure about.
