Been drawing quite a few sketches of Mew and decided to finally submit them. Especially in light of the new trailers and the disappointement regarding GameFreaks's current dev team's decision regarding the development of the franchise.

My decision toward this new development? Dev teams come and go, writers come and go with their own portrayal of the setting. It just happen that I disagree with the current dev team's decisions. I will not let them hamper my liking for the serie as a whole... even though I shall vote with my wallet by not buying this dev team's products.


Now this is out of my system, here is my latest Mew sketch, a solo pic for once. Mostly, it showcase how I draw Mew, mixing her canon portrayal of the moment with my style to form this version.

In my portrayal of the setting, Mew is the Legendary Pokémon of Light and Love, one of the oldest Pokémon alive. Few demi-Legendaries of her blood exist ; as the lone female of her species, reproduction with mortals produce kittens of the male's species, not her own...

... though Mewtwo, her favorite and constant lover and opposite, put an end to that trend. Still, the original Mew remain recognizable not only because of her great power but also because of her youthful, playful personality. Though some may think she is childish and weak, Mew is actually far wiser than she appears and more than capable of smashing any bully wannabe who may think her an easy target.
