This is a commission I did a few years back. I took a lot of the things I'd learned from "Evening at Home" and applied them to this piece. FYI. yes, there is another light off camera that is providing fill light to the picture. I posted the costume design sketches for this piece months ago and I did several different costumes before we hit on something for both characters. A couple point of interest, the drawer looking objects on the bottom of the sofa are actually fold-down steps designed so small individuals, 4ft and smaller, can get more easily on and off the sofa, and so their feet dont't have to dangle in the air when sitting. Also I rather enjoyed putting Dragon's Toy2 as the framed art on the wall.
