I made a new door sign for Nightfox' parents' grocery store.
My parents-in-law have a bernese mountain dog, that's why I picked one for the sign. :]
Sorry, dogs have to stay outside.
... but you will bring them something tasty, won't you? ;3

Lovely. Although I must say, I really hate seeing these signs. The prospect of leaving a corgi waiting outside triggers my paranoia that someone would steal him.
Though maybe I'm exaggerating. Most Germans I meet don't have the foggiest idea that the short-limbed black devil running by my side is an actual breed.

I'm not sure why you "really hate these signs", it's kind of a cleanliness thing. and I'm note sure about other countries, but it's law in the USA that animals aren't allowed in food stores (not sure ATM if its a legal thing, but the only stores I've seen pets allowed in are pet supply stores). I can understand not wanting to leave a Corgi unattended - I wouldn't either - but saying you "really hate" the signs seems a tad much.
While I understand the concept and meaning, I greatly dislike leaving my dog unattended. Cardigans are really obedient and peaceful, but I'm a bit of a paranoid in that aspect.
Plus, they are sometimes seen in circumstances where they make no sense (i.e. stores that don't have food inside). Still, Germany's a lot more accomodating for people with dogs. Most restaurants have no problem letting the dog inside (assuming it's not the size of a Great Dane or an Irish Wolfhound, I believe).

Not to randomly creep on your comment, but as a fellow owner of Cardigans I can sympathize with how no one has a clue what these "devils" are. lol
I also would never leave mine tied up anywhere unattended :/ when I go to events they are either with me or in their kennels. With a combination lock. *doesn't trust people when it comes the prospect of someone walking off with them.*

Well, the English provided in the description is definitely a bit exaggerated too. It says nothing about dogs in the text, just implied in the image. I read it as "Unfortunately we must stay outside". (Wir = we, muessen = imperative verb "must", draussen = outside, bleiben = to stay.)
