This is my new pet snail, Hector.
He is a "Grove Snail." Common in the UK but an introduced species here in the US, I stumbled on a shit ton of these on campus and had never seen them before so I picked up two and have them living in a spare critter keeper I used to use for transporting the rats-- after doing some extensive pet snail research. They're really pretty actually, and rather large. Carlos, the other one, is about double this size.
I wanted a fish but snails are cool too. :V lol
They're my desk pets.

He used to torture dogs by beating them with sticks and rocks until I started doing the same to him every time he did it and he decided it wasn't fun anymore. Fortunately, he leveled out eventually...at the time, he had a hormone imbalance that left him looking like a 6 year old in a class of pubescent kids a foot and a half taller and outweighing him by 60 pounds. He was constantly picked on and belittled for his size and so he took out his frustrations on anything smaller than himself: young kids and animals. Once he FINALLY hit puberty (at 17, did the WHOLE thing in less than a year, went from 4 feet tall to 5'10" and from 60 pounds to 140), he just grew out of that kind of malicious behavior. Now he has bunnies and kitties and loves puppies and ponies. XD
