The New Transfer Student (Yay! 2000 Views!)
OK, so I knew the counter was coming up to yet another 1000 view count. Now, like I said, you celebrate the little things....but this crept up on me!
So I scrambled. Had nothing original in my head at the time, so I had to work with what I was...thinking up at the time. Originally I was going to remark about the Kingdom Hearts series, coming off of that request I did, but that would take too long. But then, I got my answer.
Recently, including today, or it was just today...there were advanced screenings from Monsters University. And as you know, we have a guest who's been there! Now, I couldn't catch the screenings, but I got some info (still clawing through it)...so I headed over to the holo-deck, kicked Spyro into a container unit (well he was already asleep anyway), and booted her up using what the info I got....
And yep there I am/was! The deck's still building the university and some of the NPC software, but I had it work up Randall (or Randy as he's called by some people) first. Now this ain't the guy you saw earlier, this one's a hologram, but it's been made from the data I got on/from MU, so it's as accurate as the real thing.
Anyway a little background. While I have the clearance and everything I don't REMEMBER ever going to college or school for that matter. I mean I know sometimes you just forget things and what not, so I guess it all flew by so fast. So it was interesting donning that jacket and my custom-program Mag that it was a cool experience. And to be fair, I think I have a shot at MU. Heck, they're monsters, I'd blend in perfectly (some-what).
But if I ever did go to college or school and had a choice in roommates...heck, I'd pick Randall.
And no, not just saying that cause I know the actual guy, but because of how he was back then. The guy was just so nice and considerate it was almost sickening. I mean really he's a real 180-kid. He's not confrontational, he's honest...he's overall a pretty cool guy even if he does seem like a geek, and I don't care about that stereotype at all.
Ok so...yeah. It was a little awkward in the "meeting". The guy was nice, like I said, but yeah I could tell he was a little apprehensive about my...ahem...well what I deal with. Guess the thought of walking into the dorm room with a powder smell in the air would be weird. Even more so, no hands or cybernetic birds to handle the whole changing thing...maybe he was worried that HE would have been changing di....uhh...
Anyway....with that whole camouflaging trouble he has, while he was unsure on MY condition, he understood and he didn't mind being roomies. And it was pretty cool. He's more of studier than I am, but I'm more defensive than him, so we balance each other out.
Man, comparing this one to the one actually on the ship, I have to wonder what the heck happened to him. I think it was that Fraternity he joined. That purple leader guy of it, Johnny I think his name was, looked like a jock-jerk...and I KNOW those people by experience. A nice guy like Randall at that time could be manipulated by all those social stigmas and be practically a mold a jerk could make into anything he wanted.
Actually I figured out what happened that made him so anti-social. Won't spoil things...but it's what I guessed. Man...I really understand this guy on a personal level now...
I tell ya, wish I was this guy's roommate, I may not be some stereotypical almighty dragon, but if Johnny got in my way, I'd fly up and give him two nice socks to the face.
Uhh lets see....something to do with 2000....uhh...can we say me and Randall are part of the 2000 new applicants to the college heh??

"That's very true except that Laz is a kobold who tend to live to be about 120 years old. See Laz died when he was 18 due to a cave in. However mother was a goddess so Laz also has the right to be one even if she disowned Laz. So technically Laz is dead but being a god kinda removes those restrictions. It's very strange and Laz doesn't always understand it himself. He'd actually be very interested in seeing what a scan from ALMA might say about him."
"Sorta. It's complicated. Laz died and he went to his weird place for a while and while he was living there he found out about his mom being the Godess of Evil Dragons. He name is Tiaimat and Laz found out she didn't want him but he was still entitled to being a god. After a meeting with some other gods they agreed and gave Laz his god powers. So Laz appears as he did when he was alive. Laz can still eat, breath, and sleep but he doesn't get older. He just seems to be stuck in this phase of his life.
It can get kinda embarssing for Laz cause he sheads his skin alot more than he should cause he's stuck in this phase of his life. But yes Laz is dead...in title anyway."
