I logged into DA a week ago for the first time in a while and saw I had a note. A note? A note from Michi on DA about giftart she had made for me.

Needless to say, it rocked my socks off.
I had logged in, randomly, and received an amazing gift, totally randomly. I think at that moment it struck me that I have a lot of amazing friends here that I have neglected in my long sleep. Last year was a really bad year that began in the hospital and ended on burying a pet. I kept saying 'things will get better' when they never really did. I was so caught up in the terrible things that I forgot about the wonderful things, like wonderful people, just an arm's reach away. Looking back, all of last year seems like a bad dream.
Thank you, Michi, for shaking me awake.

The coloring on this piece is beautiful. You kept amazing control on this real media. The lighting and blending of colors are so seamless and hit each other just right. Then there's just how she looks. Cute ears, angelic hair, soft fur, and than all that ribbon you laced on her. That ribbon, and her wrapping herself up in it really gives this piece so much more energy and activity to keep the mind and eyes interested.

I often do the same thing though, neglect the people online that you don't want to drag down in your misery with you, but so often they're right there willing to help gladly.
