Hey all my watchers and random viewers, I have a literal "treat" for you! Surprisingly, this is really easy and quick to make. I make this all the time because it takes around 20 minutes if you purposely go slowly, and it becomes pretty popular with anyone who eats it.
Tiramisu is a light, Italian desert that was usually made as a "pick me up," and I believe that's what the name means too.

Ingredients:
40-50 Lady finger cookies/biscuits
7-8 oz. of Marscapone cheese
3 large eggs (separated into whites and yolks, you'll be using both)
8 tablespoons sugar
3 or more cups of espresso or strong coffee (cooled so it is lukewarm or cold. As long as it is not hot, like right out of the coffee pot hot or steaming. Hot coffee disintegrates the lady fingers and makes the entire finished product soggy)
1 cup or more (if you really like this stuff,) of coco power
Equipment:
Electric mixer or hand whisk: (note, hand whisking takes a really, really long time. No joke.)
Bowls: (duh)
Mixing spatula or spoon
A coffee maker or espresso maker
A dish or pan to hold the finished product: (I used a large glass cake pan, but you can use what you like as long as the lady fingers fit in it and if is deep enough to hold 2 or more layers.)
Directions: Make the coffee if it's not made already. Be sure to make it relatively strong, or else you won't be able to taste it later. Cool the coffee until it is lukewarm or cooler.
Separate the eggs if you haven't already done so. Using your mixer or whisk, beat the whites only until it forms stiff peaks. (If you've made meringue, beat it until it becomes as thick as that. If you haven't, stiff peaks means that when you dip a spoon in the mixture and you pull it out, it forms a tiny mountain that doesn't fall over back into itself. The peak stays up.)
In a separate bowl or container, mix the egg yolks and all the sugar until it becomes creamy and slightly lighter yellow in color. Then, mix the two egg mixtures together (not too aggressively or you'll deflate the egg whites,) along with the marscapone cheese. Mix until well combined.
Next, get your dish/container/whatever you're putting the finished product in. Dip the lady fingers briefly, so the cookies don't get too soggy, in the coffee and set them in the dish. Once you have one layer of lady fingers covering the bottom of the dish, spread some of the marscapone cheese mixture over the lady fingers (try not to use all the cheese mixture at once, you need layers.) Then, sprinkle some of the coco power on top of the cheese. Repeat until you run out of cheese mixture.
Drink excess coffee and eat excess lady fingers
You can serve it immediately or chill in the refrigerator for an hour or so. Personally, I thought it tasted better cold. If you can't wait, dig right in.
*Recipe Deviations/Variants*
* If you can't find Marscapone cheese, you can use Ricotta. It has a similar, mild taste that goes well with the rest of the ingredients. However, it has a less smooth and almost grainy texture and is slightly heavier.
* You can use instant coffee if you don't have time to brew your own, but real coffee has better flavor
* You can leave the coco powder out completely if you don't like it or you can substitute it for dark chocolate shavings
