Its because of the boston attack the hysteria is all over the media and there is no attention brought upon another step towards the threatening of the constitution also they will use the boston event as support for this travesty. That's the art of politics use fears and tragedy to further enforce your private agenda.
It means if passed the US government can look at and access any and all personal information you've entered into sites such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc without needing a warrant to browse through it. This would apply to ANYONE using those sites, regardless of citizenship.
Wait a second, so this bill only applies to obtaining personal and private information through social networking sites? Pfft, as if the U.S. government isn't currently obtaining personal information already (by any means). And if this weetodded bill is only because of the Boston Marathon Bombing then where's the need to slam the F.B.I. for letting this situation happen? The Russians told them about these two bastards and were ignored, now that's a tragedy! I love my country and all but fuck... I hate the Government!
"What's wrong with CISPA? (in as few words as possible)
As it's written, CISPA won't protect us from cyber threats, but it will violate our 4th Amendment right to privacy.
It lets the government spy on you without a warrant.
It makes it so you can’t even find out about it after the fact.
It makes it so companies can’t be sued when they do illegal things with your data.
It allows corporations to cyber-attack each other and individuals outside of the law.
It makes every privacy policy on the web a moot point, and violates the 4th amendment."

It's a fair bit more than just that, but that's one of the major points in my book. Also the most obviously impactful to those who don't live in the US.

I did. But I have no knowledge on the second half, much less answers. I know people are trying to use the Boston bombing as a means to push this forward (which I personally think is stupid) but have no reply to that. Also, of course they're already in the information (Patriot Act anyone?) but this allows corporations the same ability AND makes it so you can never find out about it ever. At least that's my interpretation having even spent the time to try reading some of it.
