Nyagh. I was supposed to feel good, but nothing works today.
I've worked on this picture for a while, but although it was nice to colour it doesn't cheer me up anymore. All I see is my own dissatisfaction. It's something of an art deco experiment. Maybe tomorrow it will look better in my eyes again. Sometimes I can be a bit hard on myself.
As a sidenote, that bewildered cat looks like my other cat Piki.
I will submit something less human soon.

Te complexu teneo! I'm sorry you're feeling down.
I think this is gorgeous! I can see the Art Deco influence - and I love love love Art Deco, so it's a fast way to my affection :)
The colours are beautiful, so deep and rich - I love the kind of soft glow you've given everything. And what a great face! I'm a big fan of strong features, in women and men.
Definitely take a break from it and come back to it in a good mood, with fresh eyes. I've had that happen to me plenty of times: hated something I'd done then looked at it again a week later and felt different.
Fortunately, as your audience I see only what you did, not what you were trying to do, so I can admire the former without fear of the latter!

Ah, just another mood swing. Among with some other setbacks, the weather was terrible and I found a gaping hole in the sole of my boot. Nothing fatal, but I always whine about everything. 9_9
I'm really glad for your encouraging comment. Thank you ever so much! I tried something new with the filters to see if I could come up with a certain kind of dreamy blurriness... In any case it means a lot to me that I managed to create something that you enjoyed!

Thanks! <3
Btw, I've been working a bit more on the picture I promised you. I've got this one big exam on 15th day this month, but otherwise things have been quiet and since I don't have many commissions to work on I'm trying very hard to complete the pics I owe to people here in FA. I thank you for your patience - it shouldn't take long now.

You kingly gift me with this picture you promised. I dont see it as you owe me it, I just am that gratefull. And by my patience, you where kind enough in the first place to take your time and do the drawing I have seen as a WIP. Thank you for noting me on how it goes for you as I wish you good luck on your exam and looking forward to the picture when it may be done. <3
Yeah, I guess it wasn't exactly the right word to use, but in general there are lot of things to be done - some of them I have decided to do because I want to and the others I've promised to do as trades and such. Your picture has been waiting for proper colouring too long, it's about time I make it all pretty. =)
And thanks, I have a feeling that the exam will go pretty well. At least I'm familiar with the topic.

Animals can be very tricky. I just recently bought a very good (and cheap!) book about animal anatomy. It's called "How to draw animals" by Jack Hamm. I warmly recommend it, because it's very educational and there are many helpful images of animals in motion, so you can see what they look like in different positions. =)
Ohhh, you mean the title! *slaps self* Yes, you're right, I heard that song some time ago and I guess it got stuck in my head. At first I didn't realize it's actually performed by Nightwish because the male singer was actually rather good *cough* and the song had this certain "Blind Guardian" feel to it. =)
*flails* Waa, don't feel down <3 *cheers you up*
Uh..! Btw xD I suppose I could say, this is Tetsu! I'm moving accounts. Get away from some people. xP <3 and I think it's time for a good new beginning somewhere x3;

I absoultely love that poster. I have it framed on my wall... The cat in the poster is so devilishly beautiful and confident, for my eyes it's the embodiement of perfection.
Of course, the cat here is just a puss compared to all the black cats of the golden age of art deco.
