Here it is. The process took me three days to repair and about 40 Eur/60 USD for materials. Beli-Zell ™ glue is a little miracle. It is a polyurethane based foam glue that expands for a couple of hours and then hardens. By doing so it perfectly heals the break surface and even fills the broken bubbles inside. It never turns entirely solid and thus makes it very forgiving whens tressed. Probably even more resilient thant he original hard foam core.
Special thanks goes to Sheylyra, a friend from SL and RL who recommended The Green Stuff ™ to fill the gaps...
Holes were filled, then the area around the break were sanded and painted with four layers of paints. Acrylic, glossy black and a foggy layer of gold... Making the gold effect with the black gloss paint was the hardest part.

Well, I fixed something like this for the first time. I made a bit of a mistake by adding the gold marker bandings before clear coating it, so the banding got blurred. And someone really has to tell you where to look to see it.
I feel confident enough tho to sand it all off again and do again. It's not very hard to do.
What had me in doubt at first was simply that I had german Revell Aqua and enamel paints instead of the US stuff that Lionel used. And still it turned into the same silky finish and look that it originally was...
In the end I have to say I grew to like this challenge.
Plastic Surgery on a Ranari! "Hold still Amur, it's for your own best." "Erm, could you please hurry there? I hate having my face shoved into a box. And I CAN bite."

Yes, that's about the only hint. This is because I had nothing to seal the ~1mm thick foam coating. Also the glue on the inside being flexible and the crack in the coating being stiff would prolly not have a positive effect, the flexibility of the glue would give the horns an extra chance to absorb certain stress.
As it is now all that could happen is some paint to come off and even that would take a healthy amount of stretching on the glue.
Also that horn is about 2m high in the air (6"6') and I am sure noone would notice anyway.
