Dale is a fun-loving yet serious dog eager to make his mark on the world of science, specifically the science of bodily modification for medicinal and personal gain. His prized invention is a special serum that can temporarily induce gigantic growth with super strength and endurance.
The serum, which can be injected into gel capsules for easy ingestion, lasts for several hours depending on dosage, with a 5-10 minute growth period to maximum size. Dale personally enjoys testing the serum on himself, going on gigantic joy-walks for kicks. Of course, all good things must come to an end, but luckily for him (or unluckily depending), he falls asleep or unconscious before the shrinking process begins.
Dale is happily married to the loving, but dangerous, Julianna Cannes-Bramsley, an Afghan Collie mix who will do anything to keep Dale for herself, even if she has to test whatever body-modification chemicals Dale has concocted to solidify their love life. She doesn't share the love of gigantism like her husband, but will sometimes join him on his giant romps for the sake of supervising and protecting him, which she does surprisingly well.
He normally doesn't run around in the nude (even with his naughty bits tastefully hidden in his fur), except when he's gigantic and no clothing would suit him. He's currently searching for a well-paying job so that he can pay for the cost of damaging his clothes, which he's wont to do when he's growing and not thinking. Even with his drives, he's fairly in control of his desires, leaving his instincts at home, where his wife appreciates them greatly.
ARTIST SPEAKING:
Dale was based on a fun-loving Border Collie I used to own; I imagined him as an anthro when I was young, going on adventures along with my favorite cartoon characters. He first grew when he ended up in the place of Tails in the famous episode of the animated Sonic the Hedgehog TV series, "Too Tall Tails". Of course, with my overactive imagination back then, he never stopped growing, leading to a point where he mistook entire islands for delicious hot dogs. I quickly grew out of that stage when I realized the impracticality of such heights. Still, he could become Dale-acticus, Eater of Worlds, if he wanted (or I wanted ).
Dale was made using
littledragon's Krystal model, with a texture I made from modifying Krystal's original texture in Serif Photoplus. The bumpmap comes from Errik's white fur texture. I'm not 100% satisfied with the texture, especially with the feet. Not happy with the model's feet, either; if there was any way I could swap his feet for more dog-like feet, I would do so, but I don't know how I could do that without making him look Frankensteinian!
If he doesn't look very Border-Collie-esque, I do apologize. I'm only beginning to learn how to tweak these models properly. Yes, he has a bit of bulge and prominent nipples (two, not six! Oh no! ), but I'm putting it in General Audiences because it's not like he's anatomically correct or ever-so well-endowed, anyway (Julianna likes him just the way he is).
