This version was finished first, with the title for the fanzine and the text (upper page) "100th. and Last? Article by Taral Wayne." To create a file for general use, I had already saved a copy with only the background coloured. I added that as an upper layer and then using the Select Tool I isolated the foreground. Inverting the selected area allowed me to erase the upper layer's background, revealing the lower layer's ... which had no lettering.

I created a third file, as well with Saara Mar's name along the top. The technique was basically the same -- Letter a lower layer, then use the Select Tool and finally Erase. There was an additional refinement that I won't go into.
