I loooove cats, and cats seem to really like me as well. Even the meanest strays, which won't come within a hundred yards of other humans, will come and let me pet them. But...my dad is allergic to just about everything, so I can't have one. Friggin' dammit x.x
(Yes, I still live with my parents. It's...kind of complicated. Financial reasons, mostly.)
