More wildlife in our back yard. This guy was out walking right in front of the house when I was putting on my shoes this morning. I don't know how he got in the deer fence, but he managed to fly over it on the way out when my buddies little terrier took out after him.

i feel if it's in your yard it's YOURS! i had a friend who put in a garden every year and grew a fine crop of venison :P
and who's going to report you? unless said bureaucratic asshat lives next door or paroles your land every day...
I can understand "wildlife management" but this one managed to land in your yard...food on the table says I.

I MIGHT could do a turkey for food, but not the deer. We have lots of deer that live in our orchard year long and I love them so much. Every time I leave or come home, just seeing them makes my heart soar.
I seriously doubt I'd get caught if I took an animal here without the license, or out of season. I'm just not hungry enough...or poor enough to kill one rather than buy my food. I'm definitely pro-hunting. I just don't care to do it myself anymore.

LOL....We have a lot of them here in the Paso Robles area too. Though I have yet to sneak up close enough to any to startle them. ;3
Mostly right where I am, we have a lot of deer. On the property where I live we have maybe a dozen or so who live full time. There are 3 sets of twin fawns right now who stay with their moms right in the almond orchard that borders our driveway. so I see them every day, every time I go in or out.(our driveway is about 1/8 mile long up a hill and bisecting the orchard) The fun part is seeing how close they let me get before they decide I might be a threat and move. Sometimes the mom and kids will let me drive by within 10 feet of them and just watch me as I go by. Other times they walk slowly away as I move in. Funniest thing is, they see me as less of a danger in a vehicle than on foot. If I try to walk close to them to take a picture or something, they get spooked WAY earlier than if I was driving.
