First of all: Warning! This is a really bad recording, recorded by someone standing in the audience, and there are noisy people in the audience talking all over the quiet parts of the song!
This is a song by my second band, Wilderness (1996-2001). It's a live recording from 1999.
It is one of my favourite songs of all the ones I co-wrote together with Jonas, the guitar-player in the band. Him and I had a great collaborative relationship for song-writing, and I miss him dearly. I was the bass-player, and our styles of playing worked really well together.
It is one of the few songs that I did not write the lyrics for, the lyrics were written by Miguel, the singer.
It's a ten minute song, so if you don't like it 3 minutes in, hold out, for you might like the rest of it. :P
Though I am aware of the fact that it is in a style that isn't very popular, so I don't expect many of you to like it. Still, I thought I'd share! :)

YAaaaaaaay!!! :D I LOVE prog rock like this! LOVE LOVE! :D I really wish the recording could be better, so I can hear every detail of the song! I like those layers of strong bass melody and guitar combined together, and that goes straight into your pulse and just makes you wanna spin around in the middle of the field and scream raaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! :D
Dear Silky! I really wish I was more into music back then, to have been able to record it properly for you. Well, for you all. I know you were quite a tight group at times, even if you choose to go separate ways.
Today, at least, I'm able to grasp some of the technology... at least to an extent... more than I were when I was given a hand-held video camera in a Folkets hus, or where-ever it was, where the world has a bend on the map!
Despite this was before "me", I really really hope you find that "thing" again. I know you really loved, by some definition of the term, the group you were involved in. I would love to see you there again! And if I can help you out, I really hope I will! *hugs tight!*

*smiles warmly and happily* Aww, my dear Mooie, you are so sweet! I want you to know that it means a lot to me, simply that you were there at all, back when my band used to play. It meant a lot to me back then, and it still means a lot to me now. I couldn't have wished for anything more.
I have so much to thank you for, and you always have a very special place in my heart. Being in your presence always has a calming effect upon me, and you make me feel warm and happy. I may not always be good at expressing how much your friendship means to me and how endlessly happy I am that we know each other.
I certainly miss the very special sense of collaborative creativity that I felt in the company of my fellow band-mates, and I do hope I will find something similar again. It felt like magic in many ways, how we could bring forth the best in each other, and together create something that neither of us would have accomplished on our own.
I have not given up the hope that I will find something like this again, and if it would so happen that you can be there, in one way or another, I would welcome your presence with open arms! *much love and warm hugs*

I know I've my limits when it comes to any sorts of "making music", but I do enjoy partaking in the act. With practise, one do advance, that's one for sure. So who knows... I might, at some point, be at level where you are. As some say, I rather sing than well. :P
I do hope I'll get my grips together and start to use a violin again. Of many reasons. Maybe I might come to a level which might be useful. *grins*
*hugs back and wags*

We all have limits, and they matter less than we think they do, especially when it comes to art. One can express so much through music, without being technically brilliant at the mechanics of performing.
I'd love to create music together with you, no matter what we end up doing. If you ever take up playing the violin again, I'd love to write a piece for bass-guitar and violin together with you! If not, there are plenty of other ways in which we can be creative. Your voice and my guitar-playing, being just one example I can think of.
*hugs more, because there can't ever be enough hugs*

*wags lots, then moos, and then hugs lots* Yup. I really hope I do. It's a feeling that's been growing in me for the past number of years. I know a violin is not the easiest instrument to play, but I did manage when I was young, so I guess I can get the grips of it again. I've some ideas that I'd love to explore.
And yes, would love to be part of your musical self, in one way or another... I love music in many ways, even if not as deep as it's for you. We'll see, for sure.

Well, sweetie... In less than a week, we'll meet again.
Apart from that, I guess I might have some technological curiousity which might be useful for the future. Am in the midst of purchasing equipment which is useful at an entry level, when it comes to recording stuff. Okay, perhaps not in midst, but I've for sure looked at various "external sound cards", which have some of the features I'd love. It's more a matter of me getting my thumbs out and do the purchase. Software wise, well... there are lots of free softwares which are able to record sound, in the quality I'd prefer. Less so, that are able to handle the sound in an audio production environment. I've yet to look into that, though.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll be able to find some sort of collaboration in the future. Regardless of what it'll be about.
