It was the fourth occasion to work for
and - this far - the most... everything!
I liked the concept from the start. I had fun while sketching. I spent way too much time on this picture, but enjoyed every minute of experimenting, trying new tricks and brushes and - basically - learning.
was extremely patient with me and let me take my time. I did what I could to use it as good as I could.
Thank you again!
The title comes from Jeffrey Glassberg:
"Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine."

not as much attention as it deserves. what's wrong with people?
love the overall look, the sunlight, the poses, their expressions, and the painted art style. :) it has a very special atmosphere, can't pinpoint it... like a mix of warm summer afternoon (the sunflowers seem to be not ripe yet) and a theatre set. one that has been created in the 70's.
and then there are the butterflies which seem to grow out of the frame. what a playful detail.

oh, it was my pleasure. sometimes I stop and start analyzing and comparing to what I feel and remember, and write it down. I believe that such statements like "this reminds me of thisorthat experience" or "it makes me feel like soandso" are as important as the creative process.
hehe, I sometimes have even written down little poems, like a short chapter. :) such things can happen here...
glad to have made your day brighter.

This is a wonderfully rendered piece. The attention to detail, the warm colors, and the lovely backdrop offer alot for the eyes to enjoy.
I hope you don't mind if I nitpick...just a bit.... and if so, don't read the next sentence
The only thing that I found took me out of the picture was the positioning of Tamyol's feet on the ground. They seem to be floating instead of standing, but the wings don't seem to be indicating landing/takeoff. I figure it is a trick with the shadowing that is drawing my attention to it. This is way beyond my ability to create, so I can't really chastise, but other than that, this is an amazing piece. Please, please, please keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for your kind words and for the feedback!
I am still struggling to make PS work for me as well as I would like it to. There's still many challenges awaiting me on the way and I am always happy to know that there are people who take their time to analyze the picture and spot things that need improving. I shall have this in mind in my future works for sure!
