Well, I wrote and recorded this a long time ago, but haven't posted until now.
It has a lot of hur in it that I couldn't really express through the music. I did my best, but fell short as I often do.
It's a power ballad! hooray? It takes some time to get going so give it a chance.

Bass played by my friend Nick. (not a fur) He's pretty awesome.
We're gonna try another one, but this was the first shot at putting music to his throughts.
Lyrics:
I watched the light
and it split the clouds
and it painted flesh
where the rains came down
It called my name
and I, took a breath
and I, felt its heat
within my dying chest
It bathed the pain
and it, seared the night
when it, banished black
from my lonely heart
But no matter how warm it seems
and no matter the life it teased
it's always, as always, the night
That reclaims my dreams.
Sometime soon the dawn
will burn away that broken face
and sometime soon the light
will seek and find its rightful place
and sometimes dreams are better
left for those of worth to see
because sometimes
the light will blind
Inadvertently
I watch the light
and it fades to grey
and it sinks behind
the clouds of my dismay
They call my name
and I, strain to hear
and I feel their chill
like a cape of fear
And now I drift alone
again I, feel the damp
again I, ache for breath
as it crashes down
And no matter how warm it seemed
and no matter the chances it screamed
some souls are simply not part of the theme
so it's always forever and always
as always will be
The night reclaims my dreams...
Sometime soon the dawn
will burn away that broken face
and sometime soon the light
will seek and find it's rightful place
and sometimes dreams are better
left for those of worth to see
because sometimes
the light will blind
Inadvertently

Definitely getting a little Matt Ebel in this:) Not sure if good or bad that, but I love this. I think its time to stop thinking your falling short and just putting the expectations really high.
Which I understand, I only ever see the bad in my work.
But still.
P,S, That being said I would make the chorus of voice at the end abit more noticeable. They somewhat blend into the background

It's totally different style of song but somehow
this made me think of "One Chance" by Modest Mouse
Now I think these lyrics really
touched something in me and
for once the kudos are to another
Your instrument always puts
beauty in it...never forget to take
care of your instrument heh :)
And now to derail the topic:
I have a friend named Nick
He's white and he hates white people
