ARTISTS: BE BRUTALLY HONEST
A beautiful lioness standing near the walkway to the ocean notices you staring at her. In response, she smiles kindly as the sun bounces off her gorgeous red-brown hair and her lovely golden fur.
This is pretty much an updated version of the original drawing of Leona. Essentially, she is Leo's love interest. More specifically, it's my interpretation of how I'd like my mate to be (if I ever have one): a fun, beautiful woman who will love me for who I am. I hope I meet my Leona someday...
*sigh*
I'm liking this version of her a bit better than the last one. For starters, her shoulders look somewhat normal, and her tail looks a bit thicker. Her expression looks a lot brighter and more cheerful despite not pressing hard on my pencil to actually show her eyes. Plus I like the belt loops I've drawn all around her waist.
I'm not too happy about the way I drew her shirt; the V-neck seems a little too open and unnatural, and the shirt looks as though it is made of tight-fitting material (which wasn't what I was going for at the time). For some reason, I get the feeling that her figure looks a bit off with her head still being a bit bigger than the rest of her body; her torso seems to be curving in way too much and it just looks weird for her legs to be straight after the outward curve from the waist. I'm also very upset that I couldn't draw the wrist and arms properly again. And as much as I like how I drew her breasts this time around (so sue me; I'm a dude), I still feel like they're not the perfect ones; I need some lessons on that pronto.
Overall, I think it’s a nice improvement to the last version of Leona. It's not bad considering it was the first thing I drew at the start of 2010.
