Sweet! Arizona!
HA HA Thren! Not only did I just go camping and on a bunch of hikes, I also live in Arizona. So this pic would reflect own experiences perfectly - if only my friends would have tagged along like I invited them too :(. That almost looks like Sedona - but I know of some red rock near Christopher Creek with great little waterfalls like that too. It has a huge rock outcropping over a pool, and rock slides lead the whole way down (natures slides are awesome - and they form little pockets you can sit in too that act like super chilly jacuzzis or something. When you plunge into the final waterfall into that pool, it will actually take you all the way under water for a second before you come back up and find yourself in natures pool, complete with a natural love seat in a small nook cut out of the rocks, a couple of islands in the middle, a scenic waterfall and a slab of purple colored rock to lay on and sun yourself and dry off. You have to rock hop to get there though - which occasionally ends with landing with a cold splash and a squeal. :D Neat memories.

Nonsense, summer haven was gorgeous and the chircauhuas look nice like they have some amazingly neet combos of rocks and greenery. Northern Arizona is definitely cooler though - in more ways then one XD. Plus our lightning storms and sunsets can be some of the best on globe - especially around Tuscon.
I would like to, but I seem to have a dearth of time while trying to get the books done at a good rate. E \ But though a fancy tutorial isn't forthcoming, I can at least relate how I did it. I basically colored the whole image and shaded everything to completion. Then I turned off the lines layer, and made a flat copy of the resulting image. I took that flat copy, flipped it upside down, tinted it, and then lined it up with the characters and rocks in the right areas. Add a little smudging here and there, a few highlights on top, and bingo! Reflections that look way harder than they actually are. 8 D
this reminds me of the hiking trip I had back in elementary school. We went to Sedona, AZ and we hiked and camped out at the top of this tall mountain. Then a few days later we hiked back down and visited the river nearby and all of us and our teacher dived off the side of the rocks into the water. oh it was a blast! Awesome art as always!
