Background:
Anubis is the older child of a female Lucario and male Machoke who both competed in the Sinnoh fighting circuit when they were younger, before forming a dojo to teach martial arts to those who don't wish to actually battle in leagues, and seek to pass on the torch to their children.
Unlike his younger brother, Anubis was always a very calm, somewhat secluded child, who took great pains to uphold his own, personal code of honor. His fighting style took after the more esoteric style of Aura combat, while his brother's took a more physical, rough and tumble style. His mother helped to ingrain the ideals of Bushido into him, while his father focused on training his body. Growing up in a somewhat secluded location has made him somewhat naieve in his view of the world, but has not made him frightened to speak his mind, or simply act how he feels.
Upon hitting puberty, his father's genes took hold, and he quickly ballooned out in muscle, and he focused on the more physical aspects of fighting, before swapping back to Aura training of more recent, to perfect his battle styles. Using money that had been saved up, along with a few deals with some old friends of theirs from the old days, Anubis' parents sent him off the PCA, where he took the lead of Team Genesis, where he leads by example, or at least, tries his best.
Ever since he's arrived at the PCA, Anubis does his best to try and help those with problems who can't help themselves. Even though he can't always help, the helpful young Lucario feels he can't help but try.
